![]() This is less true of a custom DLL/OCX created as part of a specific application, but even more true for standard components like the Winsock control which is widely used. ![]() ![]() The point of DLLs is that they are normally shared among applications. People would go to my website and download the zip file that contained only the EXE and the OCX files and there was no problem.This is a Very Bad Idea. I have done this many time over without any problems. In many cases you can just supply the EXE and the OCX files and tell your friend to put everything in the same directory.
